Another Wreath Feature!!

Another of my wreaths has appeared in a Romantic Homes publication!
This publication by Romantic Homes is on the newstand now.  I found my copy at Target today.
Last year, one of my wreaths was on the cover of Romantic Homes magazine.  I had actually sent two wreaths to California to be photographed and this is that second wreath on page 16 of the Vintage Holiday Christmas magazine.
I had no idea, I was quite surprised standing there in Target flipping through this magazine!!
Well, I have gathered together so many vintage christmas goodies and I am working on getting as many wreaths to my store as possible so that everyone can have one this year.
Right now I have four wreaths in the shop with many more to come.

Vintage Wreaths are Shaping Up

I've made a square wreath and a rectangular wreath for my own collection.
This is the first square wreath that I have made for the store.
This wreath is 17" square and makes quite the statement.

This One's For ME

I've made hundreds of wreaths over the last few years, and passed each one along to it's new home.
The wreaths that I made and have in my own personal collection were made many years ago.
This season I made a buying trip to one of my favorite places on this earth, Suzanna's Antiques.
I brought home many wonderful ornaments to use in my wreaths, and I also found this cutie.
This guy is an impressive 10 inches high, even in his tucked posture.  He still maintains his Made in Japan label and he is stuffed with excelsior.
Love the avocado green burlap.  Love at first sight actually.

I brought him home, knowing that he would become the focal piece of a new wreath, for the GeorgiaPeachez  family collection.
I've been saving and setting aside many wonderful 70's kitschy ornaments just for a future and personal wreath project.
He is a happy elf with his new home.
You can see that my personal taste
in vintage Christmas really skews to the wacky side.

A Jewel of a Wreath

I came across the most amazing wreath yesterday.
Is your mouth hanging open right now?
This gorgeous wreath is the creation of Winnie Lambert of Sweet Lena's Retro.  It turns out Winnie is a neighbor, living in the Hampton Roads area like myself.
She specializes in vintage jewelry and her shop is full of all kinds of treasures, most importantly this wreath!
If I owned this wreath I would display it 365 days of the year, heck yeah.

I Want A Wreath!!

Thank you, thank you so much for all the wreath love!  I really want everyone to have the opportunity to own an heirloom GeorgiaPeachez wreath.

I got into making the wreaths because I have such an obession with collecting old ornaments.  It certainly wasn't my original idea, the ornament wreath.  I've just taken the idea and developed my own style for making them.

SO, you want to own a GeorgiaPeachez wreath??  Where do you go to purchase one?

I've opened a store here.  When I complete a wreath I will list it in my store.  I make wreaths year round so even after the holidays you can purchase a wreath.

Right now, the demand is high so my wreaths sell quickly once they are listed.

When I list a wreath in my store, I also send out an email.  If you subscribe to my list you will get this email.

I also post a note about new listings on my Facebook page.

My wreaths are made one at a time by myself.  It takes about 3 hours to make one wreath.  Each wreath contains 80-100 ornaments, sometimes more because I am sooo anal about filling in every little gap.

FYI, I don't take custom orders.  Also, I only ship my wreaths to the US, excluding Alaska and Hawaii.  It is just crazy expensive to ship anywhere else, and not to mention very far.  My wreaths are very fragile, but I do go to great lengths to package them carefully.
OK, I need to get back to work and finish that wreath that is on my work table.
Happy Holidays!!

How Do You Purchase a Wreath?

Welcome to GeorgiaPeachez Wreaths!  If you are new to my site, then welcome :->
It is Christmas 24/7 over here and if you love all things vintage Christmas then you have come to the right place.
I am crazy busy right now making wreaths as fast as I can so that hopefully every one that wishes to have one of my heirloom wreath creations can get one.
As I get the wreaths completed I will list them in my store.
I do not take orders or make custom wreaths.
There are two ways to get notified when I have listed new wreaths.
There is my mailing list.  I ONLY send out emails when I have new wreaths, you will never receive any spam from me and you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking the link contained in the email.
The other way to find out about new wreaths is to "like" my facebook page.
Also, I only ship my wreaths to the 48 continental states.  Because of the fragile nature of the wreaths I do not use the postal service.  I ship my wreaths via Fedex Ground.  Shipping outside of the continental US is just too expensive and far to travel.
OK, I better get back to my workstation.  Lots more wreaths to come!!

All Those Boxes

I go through a lot of vintage ornaments, especially the little tiny ones.
That's a lot of boxes as well.
A few seasons ago I came up with the idea to recycle these nifty little boxes into ornaments themselves.

I've been working on getting a bunch of these made to take to Williamsburg in December for the craft show.

I've also had some requests for these this year so I've added a few to my store.

Vintage Christmas Lights

I pretty much collect anything that's vintage christmas and that includes old light bulbs.
I bought a large lot of old C9 lights on the strings years ago because I was drawn to the old shapes and range of colors.
I stashed them away, thinking to myself at the time that I should make something with them.
One day the proverbial "light bulb" went off and the light bulb wreath was created.
I've only ever made a few of these wreaths, the bulbs are hard to find in the wild and they are expensive to purchase on eBay.

These wreaths are also very labor intensive, it's not easy to get these bulbs secured to the wreath form.
All the wreaths above are sold.  You can see pictures of all my wreath creations here.
I've been saving up my bulbs for awhile now and I finally have collected enough to make a few more wreaths.  Over the next week I will be listing them in the store.
Today I'm putting this one, made with those old C6 bulbs, into the store.

This one is only 12" in diameter.  I've combined the bulbs with some pretty vintage shiny brites and an old corsage.
It's a cutie.

Romantic Homes Cover

GeorgiaPeachez Wreaths is on the cover!
Thank you Romantic Homes magazine for featuring my wreaths on your cover and inside your magazine.
I am in full blown wreath production mode from now until the vintage ornies run out.
I will be adding them to the store as I get them made so check in often or follow me on facebook.
I don't create custom orders, I let the shapes and colors guide me to the finished product.
If you have just discovered my place, then welcome and I hope you come back often.
This is my place to share my slight obession with all things vintage christmas.
** Happy Holidays **

A Cute LIttle Man

Here is a special little treasure that I picked up this summer at an estate sale.
When I chucked this little guy into my bag I didn't realize what a special one he was though.  He was in a ziploc baggie that was stapled shut and in my xmas grabbing frenzy I just saw an old snowman and threw him in the bag.

He's about 4 inches tall, missing the top of his hat and I think he had a nose at one time.
He is spun cotton over excelsior.
He has cotton pipe cleaner arms and scarf with paper eyes and buttons.
I'm going to try and research and find out what his nose was originally and then restore it if possible.  Or not.

He is loaded with personality just the way he is.
